What is Neuropsychotherapy?

Neuropsychotherapy attempts to provide a framework to understand the human condition; a framework to understand the pathogenesis of wellness as well as the pathogenesis of psychopathology. It attempts to provide a framework to facilitate change and shift patterns of pathology towards apithological patterns that increase the quality of life. The uniqueness of neuropsychotherapy is its focus on the neural processes that underlie human responses – memory, sensations, emotions, thoughts, behaviours and interactions. It underpins a sound recognition of the neural processes that provide a window into the essence of wellness and psychopathology and provides guidelines, generated through neuroscience, towards addressing dysfunctions.
