PRACTICAL COUNSELLING SKILLS FOR BEGINNERS
Course to be held in Christchurch
This course is intended for professional and non-professional people who would benefit from practical basic counselling skills and who have minimal or no training in this area e.g. those working in the human resources, education, health or social services.
Course Profile:
You will be presented with a client-centred approach to counselling using micro-counselling skills. This would be a combination of theory and hands-on supervised practice.

The Presenter:
David Garb David has been designing and presenting workshops over the past twenty years in New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, the US and Canada. His qualifications include a Masters of Education degree in counselling, a Bachelor of Social Science in psychology and sociology, a Diploma in Special Education and a Diploma in Waldorf Education. He is trained in counselling and therapy, group facilitation, and in a variety of therapeutic methods. His current work is as a private therapeutic practitioner and a trainer for tertiary and secondary learning organisations, and corporate institutions.
